Hi My friend had a litter of little Yorkshire Terriers. She is not a professional breeder and this is the one and only time she has ever allowed her dog to have puppies! 1 of the puppies she sold went to a couple and after 4 days the puppy started getting sickness and diahrroea. They phoned my friend and asked what she had been feeding the puppy (even tho my friend had told them what in a puppy care sheet and given them a bag of food too) and laso said the puppy was being ill so my friend said contact a vet. They left the little puppy a further 4 days before the puppy saw a vet as this was when they had booked it is for its 2nd jab and left the puppy those 4 days being sick and diahoreea!!! The puppy died 2 days later and a stool sample says it had Parvo in it. But none of the rest of the litter is ill at all or her other 2 14 weeks old puppies she has there?!? They had also took the puppy out so did it contract the virus at my friends home or somewhere else? Also she offered them 6 weeks free insurance which they did not take as they had Tescos insurance but Tescos insurance wont pay out till after 14 days they have had the puppy. My friend has offered as a gesture of goodwill to give them the cost of the puppy but they are demansing vets bills and compensation. Should she pay it all even tho she advised them to take the insurance and to take it to a vet which they didnt do for a further 4 days. Also is there any gaurentee that the puppy git the Parvo from her home or could it of been after it left her home?? I am not sure what to advise her i can see both sides but i do think it is strange that none of the toher puppies are ill. Also is it true because the puppy had it 1st jab that this is another reason why parvo would show up in the stool test as they inject you with the virus or is that a myth. Cheers Puppies were 9 weeks old when they were sold and had 1st injections but were due their 2 injections the week they were picked up hence why my friend advised in her puppy care sheet that the puppy should be seen within 48 by a vet to check its health, so the puppy gets to know the vet and for its 2nd jab but they booked it in for this for 6 days after they collected the puppy and did not take it to the vet even when it was ill before that poointment was due. moreMore Sample Contract To Sell Results
