moreOpen Question: Has anybody else experienced finding Hotel accommodation, with dogs allowed, virtually impossible?
We are hoping to get to the Lake District (UK) for a week's break and would prefer not to go self-catering, for once. We have one dog and she's crate trained and we'd have her in it overnight, and out in the car during our mealtimes. I've approached Hotels saying they are 'dog friendly' on their websites, only to find this is NOT the case. One replied recently saying they could not accept dogs in their rooms but had a 'small cottage at the back of the Hotel with 5 rooms which were dog friendly'. I'm afraid I'm not about to be pushed to a 'quarantine area' at the rear of a Hotel - and incidentally be charged the same rate as a 'normal' Hotel room + a dog fee, because I want to travel with my dog. When dog owners in the UK holiday in the UK, they normally want to bring their dogs with them - otherwise I for one would go abroad where we'd get far more value for money in any case. We'd be looking at spending £1000 for one week at this Hotel. I've found this attitude towards people with dogs especially bad in the Lake District, and I'd be interested to hear other's experiences, and where there might be a truly dog friendly Hotel(s) in or around Keswick. moreOpen Question: Does anyone else feel Enigma hasn't been the same since 'that' night in my hotel room...?

1)I have recently heard that you are going on holiday to Majorca, Spain as I have visited the island many times, I shall recommend some lovely places you can visit while you’re on your stay. It’s a pleasant island with friendly people and I hope you enjoy it. I have stayed at many hotels but so far the best was probably Panoramic Hotel in Alcudia, apart from their outstanding service, great entertainment and an excellent range of food, the hotel is also situated in a nice secluded cove, this is a great hotel to stay at when you need to chill out and relax. If you’re looking for nice large pools and spacious rooms with air conditioning, you may want to try the Clumba Mar hotel, Can Pica Fort as it have great pools, one of which have just been built, this is a very lively fun hotel. For the restaurants, I recommend a lovely restaurant called Monaco, in Can Pica Fort, it has an excellent menu, serving fine Spanish cuisine examples of the fine food includes fresh grilled squid, large grilled sardines and of course there’s also Spain’s national dish paella. There is also a wonderful cafe/restaurant called Oasis on the beach front of Can Pica Fort, it has wonderful entertainment and also serves a large variety of Spanish dishes and drinks. There are many fantastic restaurants/cafes in Majorca and I highly recommend you try them out. Although they have delicious Spanish cuisine, I wouldn’t advise you to eat foreign food in Majorca as they seem to be more experienced their Spanish dishes. You may wish to visit the market that travels around Majorca which visits most of the resorts and sells a range of clothing, leather goods, arts and crafts etc. In Spain you may want to avoid shopping at around 2-4pm as the Spanish like to have their fiesta between those hours. I have also been to a giant carting track in Majorca, this is the biggest cart track in the whole of Majorca, it is very fun and it also has a lovely cafe very near it. If you’re looking for a fun time I highly recommend you come and try this cart track out. Have a pleasant time. 2)I have recently heard that you are going on holiday to Majorca, Spain. Does anyone know of any respectable holiday websites or stable holiday firms that don't rip off single travellers when travelling alone ? In the past when Ive travelled alone Ive ended up paying extortionate prices for my holidays, only to meet people who have paid considerably less because they may have taken a child or gone as a couple to the same destination & ended up with a longer holiday for a lot less money. I wouldn't mind but some of the the airlines Ive used had plenty of empty seats on them & some of the hotels or apartments Ive stayed in weren't overcrowded, plenty of empty rooms. There must be somewhere that gives single travellers a good deal or are we all discriminated against because of the fact some people choose to holiday alone or may not have anyone to go with ? moreResolved Question: why are there pads on the room in this hotel?

I really don’t know where to start from. The new city looked so busy. London was so very populated and very crowded. As we got to the hotel we were sent to our new “little house” as mum called it. My brother Joe was busy talking to his girlfriend of course as well as my sister was busy talking to her friend on the phone with no doubt while I was wondering how dad must have felt alone back in Wales. He must be alone crying in the house and I know my father when he is upset and angry or his mood is swinging he would break anything. Our room was an attic, so big with a blue black carpet. As I first looked at the ceiling it will so huge and the wall was a creamy colour. My frist impression was I had to share rooms with my sister, brother and mum!? so ridiculous add more if you want and can you include emotions please?? thank you @Robert D: that wasnt my question i mean can you re-write it please? idont know where i went wrong I WANT YOU TO RE-WRITE IT PELASE! moreResolved Question: Do I have a case for sexual abuse?

The problem is when I turned on the light, it was a different woman. She must have been 15 yrs older than me and she wasn't even nice looking (to be polite about it). And if you would...please tell me why?
Melbourne, June 25 (ANI): Owing to a rather 'ironical' ad campaign, an Amsterdam hotel, which claimed to be 'the worst hotel in the world', has become a huge hit with travellers in the city. The campaign, by advertising agency KesselsKramer, paints the Hans Brinker budget hotel in Amsterdam as dirty, uncomfortable and lacking basic necessities such as beds. Although the advertisers promoted the hotel in dog poo, the 650-bed hotel is attracting customers in large numbers and runs at around 80 per cent occupancy even in the low season. The hotel's success is fully attributed the advertising campaign, which "takes honesty to the extreme" and are "revered and reviled in equal measure", said the company's website. The ads promote the hotel as "similar to hell, but without proper heating". Dave Bell, Creative Director and Partner at KesselsKramer, said that the hotel has found a unique selling-point. "Everybody is always trying to be the best, but there are merits in being the worst. May be more people should strive to be the worst at something, when you're the worst you have a lot more room to be creative and do your own thing," News.com.au quoted Bell as saying. In a YouTube video, the hotel promotes itself as "accidentally eco-friendly"- having a lack of services such as cleaning and elevators that are out of order means it uses less energy. "The Hans Brinker budget hotel has been helping the planet, unintentionally, since 1970," said one advertisement. "Here is a hotel where the light bulbs don't work. A hotel whose showers have less hot water than is standard. Where elevators stay out of order for days. And whose vacuum cleaners' buttons are rarely switched on," the hotel said in the YouTube video. "To lessen our impact on the environment staff do as little as possible for guests. An eco-elevator ensures that the only energy spent going to the room is your own," said a poster. "Leave the towel on the rack. We won't wash it. Leave the towel on the floor. We still won't wash it," said another poster. moreVoting Question: A boyfriend with a history of cheating...?
I got with my boyfriend and knew he had a history of cheating when he was 17/18 years and now he 25. When we met, we quickly got together, and we were both very fresh out of relationships. But we clicked straight away and I fell in love with him almost instantly. Our relationship has been perfect, then when we had been together about 8 months, i found out he had been flirting with a girl from work when we had been going out for about a month. However, i know nothing physically happened. And i have seen the conversations sent between them and he said he wanted to be with me, not her, and this only lasted a week. Then about a week later, another girl he works with claimed she gave him a bj in a hotel room when they were on a work course together, but he completely denies that, but i have heard its true from 2 people. But he did come clean about the first girl and was really sorry, but to this day he denies the second. Since then he has moved stores at work and now theres a girl he keeps texting and she texts him. I have questioned him about it and he says nothings going on and she is really fat and ugly. but we was having a drink together and he got a text from her - he saw who it was from and hid it in his pocket. so later that day, i did summat stupid and text her off his phone when he wasnt looking asking what she was doing and my bf walked in a saw and so he text her saying it was to the wrong person and she replied and my bf read not knowing i was looking and it said 'you know you'd rather be here with me' - so i asked him as soon as i saw it and he reckons she was joking around saying hed rather be at work with her. and so we had a huge row and nearly split, but we sorted things out. then about a month later, the same girl approached my brother while out for a drink and started asking questions about me, and her best mate was with her, who also works with my bf, and she started saying how fit and gorgeous my bf is to my brother and that they always flirt at work and my bro went mad at her - but i wasnt even suspecting her, it was the girl he was always texting. So now im thinking is he just doing stuff with all his female staff??!! Then yesterday, my brother was talking to a friend of his, who happens to know the girl hes been texing and she said shes been seeing someone that she works with, but she didnt give and name, so now hes trying to find out the name of the guy she claims shes been seeing. But I dont know what to do, I love him completely and I know hes was planning to propose to me and we are talking bout moving in together and everything. I get on brilliant with his family and they love me to bits. I have talked about the situation with his dad and his dad was really shocked to hear what he had been doing, his dad knew about his past, but thought he would never do something like that to me, as he seems completely besotted with me. I mean my bf even brought me a puppy, so I cant see why he would buy a puppy and then go off cheating, with a chance I would find out and dump him. What should I do? Before I got with him I suffered with depression and he got me out of it, and im worried, that if i do find out hes been seeing this girl from work, that I will have to dump him and the depression will return. Please help me, I really dont wanna loose him. moreResolved Question: Any Games like Habbo Hotel?

We would like to have a nice room even if we are only 4 people. But I couldn´t find any pictures or information about that on the internet. Do you know the premises? We've just returned from a hotel in Greece which considered a grate in the bathroom floor consituted such a room - they said a disabled person could sit or lie on the floor and the shower from the bath could be poured over them. This made me feel my disabled son was being treated no better than a dog who would be washed with a hosepipe. This, I may add, was a 4 star hotel and expensive. moreResolved Question: Kavos, Corfu... anyone been there? what was ur experience?

After almost twenty-four hours on the road, being too tired to continue, they decide to stop for a rest. They stop at a hotel and take a room, but they only plan to sleep for four hours, shower and then get back on the road. When they check out four hours later, the desk clerk hands them a bill for $350.00. The man explodes and demands to know why the charge is so high. He tells the clerk although it's a nice hotel, the rooms certainly aren't worth $350.00! When the clerk tells him $350.00 is the standard rate, the man insists on speaking to the Manager. The Manager appears, listens to the man, and then explains that the hotel has an Olympic-sized pool and a huge conference center that were available for the husband and wife to use. But we didn't use them,' the man complains. 'Well, they are here, and you could have,' explains the Manager. He goes on to explain they could have taken in one of the shows for which the hotel is famous. 'The best entertainers from New York, Hollywood and Las Vegas perform here.' the Manager says. 'But we didn't go to any of those shows,' complains the man again. 'Well, we have them, and you could have,' the Manager replies. No matter what amenity the Manager mentions, the man replies, 'But we didn't use it!' The Manager is unmoved, and eventually the man gives up and agrees to pay. He writes a check and gives it to the Manager. The Manager is surprised when he looks at the check. 'But sir,' he says, this check is only made out for $50.00.' 'That's correct,' says the man. 'I charged you $300.00 for sleeping with my wife.' 'But I didn't!' exclaims the Manager. 'Well, too bad,' the man replies. TOWNSVILLE (Australia): An Australian rugby coach fined himself 10,000 Australian dollars ($8,120) on Saturday after a drunken escapade in which he tried to gain access to a woman's hotel room. Police found Brad Fittler, coach of the Sydney Roosters, heavily intoxicated and wearing only shorts early Friday after the woman made a complaint. ``I am disappointed with myself and apologize unreservedly to the occupants of the room who I disturbed,'' Fittler said at a press conference Saturday. ``My behavior was unacceptable and I have fined myself $10,000.'' The rugby club said the money will be donated to a Salvation Army women's refuge charity. ``Police have confirmed the incident regarding Brad, and based on the information we have received at this time we are happy with the course of action taken,'' said Roosters chief executive Steve Noyce, who also spoke to Fittler and hotel management about the incident.
